Aaand breathe… it’s been a busy year so far!
Recent freelance projects include stakeholder consultation for The Head of Steam Railway museum, strategic planning for a Family Friendly initiative in Ouseburn, a feasibility study for a cultural centre in Northumberland, video audience consultation for the national tour of The Miner’s Hymns, delivery of Marketing Trends workshops for Audiences Wales and Marketing Strategy support for Arts & Business Scotland.
I also work part time for the marvellous Indigo Multimedia (www.indigomultimedia.com) and have been involved in a number of Digital Audience Engagement projects for clients including Mslexia, Theatre Hullaballoo, Northumberland National Park, National Glass Centre, Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums, and we are about to launch a new Visitor Experience at the Tees Transporter Bridge which includes an augmented reality heritage trail app, and three touch screen interactives designed to engage visitors in the industrial and engineering heritage of the area. That has been a particularly interesting and challenging project which I hope to do more of as I see a big future for digital interpretation services for the heritage and cultural sector.
I wonder what the summer will bring…
